Links Golf Society
Golf Exotic is owned and operated by The Links Golf Society. The Society itself was founded by current board members Grant Pride and Werner Leten in 2000 with the intention of providing golfers of all calibre – the best possible Golf Holiday experience in Pattaya.
Grant and Werner are both locals and remain loyal Pattaya golfing enthusiasts.
As well as the opportunity to play at any one of Pattaya’s world class courses, the Society provides a friendly, welcoming and social atmosphere for our golfers.
When you golf at Links you become part of our golfing community. It’s not just the golf but the mateship that happens with a group of likeminded guys who love the game and social aspects of after-golf fun.
The Green Jacket
Legend has it that the Green Jacket was born out of a wager between two eccentric Aussie golfers. During a particularly stormy round at Laem Chabang International Country Club, Links Golf Society’s founding member Grant Pride, bet his business associate Werner Leten that he could play the entire course blindfolded and still score better. If Pride succeeded, Leten would have to have a unique ‘jacket’ crafted.
Against all odds, Pride won the bet, and Leten, a man of his word and with a flair for drama, fashioned a bright green jacket, almost identical to the Masters’ jacket.
Today, the jacket remains a symbol of victory and unrivalled achievement. It is presented (for photo purposes only) to ‘the victorious’ member of Golf Exotic’s golf tours on the final night of competition. Within the Pattaya golfing community, the jacket is widely regarded as the most sort-after attire at post round drinks and provides instant ‘legend’ status to the wearer.
